The death of Martha Appleby's husband has left her uncertain about what's to come in her twilight years. Now, at 71 years old, she is about to go on her first solo long-distance trip, and who else does she run into on the plane but Pamela Thornton. At 70 years old, service dog trainer Pamela is making a trip to complete one last job, and is using the opportunity to figure out what to do next. It's been 50 years since the two had last seen each other, and old feelings resurface as a result of this unexpected reunion - feelings that could affect the paths they're charting for their futures.
